As the name indicates, a solar phone battery charger utilizes the power of the sun (a.k.a solar power) to supply electrical power to your devices or charge the battery. The advantage of these portable devices is that they do not require an external electrical power source to operate, making them excellent for outside lovers or individuals who many not have access to a power outlet immediately (like if you're at a music festival in the middle of the desert or midway through a beautiful walking).

At the Great Housekeeping Institute, we evaluate tech items from water resistant speakers to gas leak detectors. To test solar charges, we take them to our basic light room and time the length of time it takes to fully charge each unit. Then, we see how long it takes to charge different gadgets over 400 hours of battery draining over our latest screening.
