As the name implies, a solar phone battery charger harnesses the power of the sun (a.k.a solar power) to provide electrical power to your gadgets or charge the battery. The benefit of these portable devices is that they don't require an external electricity source to operate, making them terrific for outside lovers or people who lots of not have access to a power outlet right now (like if you're at a music festival in the middle of the desert or midway through a beautiful hike).

At the Great House Cleaning Institute, we evaluate tech products from water resistant speakers to gas leak detectors. To check solar charges, we take them to our basic light space and time how long it requires to completely charge each unit. Then, we see for how long it takes to charge various devices over 400 hours of battery draining over our most current testing.
